Two parks, two tickets
The falls sit on a border, and each country runs its own national park with its own entry. A ticket for the Argentine park does not get you into the Brazilian park, and the other way round. There is no joint standard ticket for both sides. You pay in Argentine pesos on one side and Brazilian reais on the other.
Both parks include more than a gate pass. On the Argentine side, the entry covers the Tren Ecológico de la Selva and the main trails. On the Brazilian side, it covers the internal transport between the visitor center and the Panorama trail, the elevators, the walkway and the main viewpoints. You do not need a tour to use these.

Iguazu Falls tickets and tours
Guided visits, boat rides and day trips on both sides of the falls, with live prices and availability.
Argentine side: categories, passes and parking
Foreign adults pay the general rate of 60,000 ARS. Argentine residents, provincial residents and students have lower categories, and the student rate needs an Argentine DNI and proof of study at a formal Argentine institution. There is no general discount for foreign students.
- Children: the tariff lists children from 0 to 6 as exempt. The operator's sales page words the age limit slightly differently ("under 6"), so check before you buy for a child who is exactly 6.
- Payment: cash, or Visa and Mastercard by credit or debit card.
- Parking: car 12,500 ARS, motorcycle 6,250 ARS, minibus 18,750 ARS and bus or motorhome 25,000 ARS, per day.
- Passes: the Iguazú Flexipass costs 120,000 ARS for 3 days and 210,000 ARS for 7 days. A national annual pass costs 300,000 ARS. All as of 1 June 2026.
The trails are described on our Argentine side page, and the status of the Garganta walkway is on the Devil's Throat page.

Brazilian side: categories and rules
The Brazilian operator sells regular tickets online only, with a chosen day and entry time. Show the ticket and a photo ID at the entrance. You cannot drive your own car into the park. You leave it in the parking area and use the internal transport.
- Standard ticket: 134 BRL for adults from other countries.
- Brazil and Mercosur rate: 121 BRL, which is 118 BRL entry plus 3 BRL. It applies to nationals of Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and Venezuela. Everyone else pays the standard ticket.
- Community rate: 26 BRL.
- Children: free up to and including age 6 with the original photo ID. The page words the paying age as "above 7", so for a child of exactly 7, ask before you buy.
- Seniors and students: there is no general half price for either group.
Read our guide to the Brazilian side for the walk itself. A note on closures: in October 2026 the river walkway was closed because of high water, while the Panorama trail stayed open.

Not included in the park entry
Extras are priced separately and the park ticket is not part of them.
| Activity | Price | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Gran Aventura boat ride (Argentina) | 100,000 ARS | About 2 hours, park entry not included |
| Macuco Safari with boat (Brazil) | 384 BRL | Park entry not included |
| Macuco Safari, jungle drive only | 192 BRL | Park entry not included |
| Full moon and sunset walks (Argentina) | 95,000 ARS adult, 47,500 ARS for ages 6 to 12 | Free up to 5 years, limited places |
| Parque das Aves | 110 BRL | Valid until 30 November 2026, separate park |
| Itaipu panoramic tour | 63 BRL | Outside tour of about 1 hour 10 minutes |
Boat trips are covered in our boat tour guide. The evening walks depend on the open trails, so a listed date does not guarantee that a specific walk goes ahead. Prices for full agency tours vary by offer, so check what the listing includes: park tickets, border formalities, pickup and boats.
How to budget for a visit to both sides
Add the two entries, 60,000 ARS in Argentina and 134 BRL in Brazil, then your transport between the two, the border crossing and any boat. The Argentine second-day discount can make a second day on that side cheaper, but it only applies to the Argentine park.
Check the final total at checkout before you pay, because it can differ from the posted rate. Bring a card that works in both countries and some cash in the local currency of each.
Which side first? That depends on where you sleep and on the water. See the best time to visit page for how the season affects both sides.
Iguazu Falls tickets: frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to enter Iguazu Falls?
On the Argentine side a foreign adult pays 60,000 ARS as of 1 June 2026. On the Brazilian side the standard adult ticket is 134 BRL for 2026, of which 3 BRL is a voluntary contribution to the Iguaçu fund.
Is there a ticket for both sides?
No standard joint ticket exists. Each park sells its own, and a ticket only works in its own park.
Can I get a discount for a second day in Argentina?
Yes. A second visit within 72 hours of your first entry is 50 percent off, which works out to 30,000 ARS for a foreign adult. You can get it online or at the park entrance.
Are children free?
In Argentina children aged 0 to 6 are exempt. In Brazil children are free up to and including age 6 with a photo ID. The two parks word the cutoff differently for a child at the exact limit, so ask if your child is 6 or 7.
Does the entry ticket include the boat ride?
No. The Gran Aventura in Argentina and the Macuco Safari in Brazil are priced separately, and neither includes the park entry.
Do students or seniors get a discount?
Not as a general rule. The Argentine student rate needs an Argentine DNI, and the Brazilian park offers no general half price for seniors or students. Always ask what proof is needed.
